About The Team And The Role
This role sits within eBay Live and focuses on growing the marketplace through seller acquisition, partnerships, and inventory expansion. The team works closely with sellers, internal partners, and leadership to shape category strategy, drive GMV per seller, and strengthen eBay Live’s position within key verticals such as collectibles and fashion. The role combines business development, analytics, negotiation, and people leadership, with responsibility for both individual impact and team development.
What You Will Accomplish
- Grow eBay Live by identifying, securing, and activating high-value sellers who deliver strategic relevance, operational readiness, and scalable impact.
- Increase GMV per seller by executing category strategies, meeting seller acquisition targets, and converting opportunities through a proactive, opportunity-driven approach.
- Maintain a healthy business development pipeline through accurate forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis across the funnel.
- Set and evaluate revenue targets, guide budget investment decisions, and prioritize opportunities that deliver high value.
- Negotiate business terms with sellers and inventory partners, draft term sheets, and partner with Legal to complete contracts.
- Use market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, new business models, and partnership opportunities in live shopping and e-commerce.
- Coach and develop Business Development Associates and Sales Coordinators by strengthening selling, negotiation, and analytical skills, while fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
- 5+ years of experience in business development and/or an account executive role, with a strong focus on results.
- Experience working effectively with external partners and cross-functional teams to deliver shared outcomes.
- Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across a range of partners.
- Advanced analytical skills, including strong proficiency in Excel and comfort working with performance metrics beyond GMV.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage pipelines, forecasts, and reporting accurately.
- Familiarity with internet marketing methodologies and e-commerce business models.
- CRM experience, with a strong preference for Salesforce.
