A Day In The Life
The Director, National Accounts under the leadership of the Vice President, Sales & Marketing will support the process to increase the sales of GSFS finance and insurance (F&I) products and services to assigned clients and ensure their long-term success. The Director is responsible for increasing the demand for GSFS products across their our existing footprint by; 1) utilizing existing relationships with Agents and Agencies, Consolidators and National Retailers to introduce GSFSGroup products and services, proven ability to move these relationships to be exclusive partner, 2) manage a portfolio of assigned clients, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new opportunities, including developing strong relationships with clients, connecting with key business executives/stakeholders, and 3) Liaise between clients and cross-functional internal teams, ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to client needs and improve the entire client experience.
As a Director, Account Mgmt You Will
- Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to client account management
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
- Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, client stakeholders and executive sponsors
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to client needs and objectives
- Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
- Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to exceed sales quotas
- Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
- Prepare reports on account status
- Identify and grow opportunities within book of business and collaborate with sales teams to ensure growth attainment
- Assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as needed
- Responsible for daily interaction with Current and Prospective Agency Principals, Consolidators, and National Retailers; coordination of appropriate sales development in the field and for managing sales results, which yield measurable revenue growth to GSFS.
- Develop operating plans for the most effective and efficient utilization of manpower resources and prioritization of servicing issues.
- Direct the prospecting, sales process, product installations and development of agent/agency, Consolidator, and National Retailer accounts, utilizing internal resources as appropriate.
- Where appropriate, coordinate executive management input into sales, income development and relationship building activities.
- Negotiate and resolve program agreements with clients and associated companies.
- Recommend new products and markets; provide supporting sales/marketing and financial rationale.
- Directly supervises one or more employees in this position.
- Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
- Combination of Education/Certifications and 10 - 15 years of automotive F&I or direct sales experience in the automotive industry required.
- 10+ years of automotive F&I product sales and leadership required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and customer needs.
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Solid analytical skills with the ability to generate reports
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and planning skills.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
Travel Requirements
80% Frequent travel required.
