Main Missions
- Take part and drive object squad projects, by contributing to all steps of the life cycle, from design to implementation, testing, and production.
- Use native Node.JS libraries for storage services and Golang for Kubernetes operators.
- Collaborate with the team members unblocking any technical challenges faced.
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and improve software while ensuring an amazing user experience.
- Develop robust, secure, and well-designed, fault-tolerant high-performance distributed systems.
- Work with architects, POs, and leads to deliver the Scality roadmap.
- French residents only
- BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in developing and testing clear, robust code, while keeping performance in mind.
- Experience in multiple languages like Node.js, GoLang and Typescript
- Experience in storage and distributed systems space.
- Strong skills around observability, debugging and performance tuning
- Exhibit care for software quality and all aspects of the software development lifecycle
- Strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
- Orchestration: Kubernetes, docker, containerd, salt, ansible
- System: Linux, networking, security(OWASP top 10, public-key encryption, access credentials, certificates, TLS, data encryption, SSH, etc)
- Backend: Node.js, Golang, Typescript
- Distributed Systems: Redis, kafka, mongoDB, zookeeper, high availability, scaling
- Testing: Design, test plans, mocking, bracketing, benchmarking, profiling
- Tools: Jira, Github, Terraform, AWS, Azure
- Curious, inquisitive, and open-minded
- Good communication skills and teamwork.
- Passionate and current in new technologies.
Scality excels at delivering the core technologies behind the public cloud offering of some of the major service providers worldwide. As such Scality products providing Object storage for service-oriented public and private clouds are serving over 500 million end customers worldwide, with over 800 billion objects in production.
The management at scale of these users, their roles and associated rights, the integration of these users management within the identity management infrastructure of our customers is a cornerstone of our product offering. To achieve this Scality has massively invested in the AWS S3 and IAM Policies support, the ability to integrate with Active Directories and other SAML identity service providers. Scality has also invested heavily on the User Experience with regards to identity and access management to ensure every profile of administrator can leverage these services whether they would be expert or IT generalists.
In order to continue being at the forefront of the Object stores delivery, Scality is seeking an individual experienced in distributed systems and cloud-native technologies and challenges. Someone who likes to seek to improve and create high-quality products per the roadmap, while working alongside a globally distributed object storage team on the Art of Scale for distributed, containerized services in all layers of the software stack.
