Full Stack Developer – Drive Factory Digitalisation in a Global Energy Leader!

We are recruiting on behalf of a major international energy technology organisation undergoing a significant transformation within its manufacturing and operational environments. This role sits at the core of how factory systems communicate, focused on building the integration layer between shop floor systems (MES) and enterprise platforms.

You’ll join a globally distributed engineering team working on modernising how data flows across manufacturing systems. The core objective is to replace tightly coupled, legacy integrations with a scalable, API-driven architecture that enables real-time communication between systems.

As a Full Stack Developer, your primary focus will be designing and building APIs and microservices that act as the middleware layer between MES and ERP systems (e.g. SAP), enabling seamless, reliable data exchange across the factory ecosystem.

Your Role:

You’ll be hands-on building the integration backbone of the factory. This is a backend-heavy role focused on API design, development, and system integration, where you’ll work on real-world, production-critical systems that directly impact operations.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, build, and maintain REST APIs and microservices forming the integration layer between MES and ERP systems
• Develop backend services in C#/.NET to handle data exchange, transformation, and orchestration between systems
• Enable real-time and on-demand data flows across factory and enterprise platforms
• Translate system requirements into scalable, reliable integration solutions
• Work closely with internal systems (MES) to retrieve and push operational data via APIs
• Integrate with ERP systems (including SAP) through API-based communication layers
• Troubleshoot integration issues, optimise performance, and ensure system reliability
• Collaborate with a distributed engineering team across the US and Mexico to deliver high-quality solutions

What You Bring:

• Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET
• Experience working with both .NET Framework and .NET Core
• Strong experience designing, building, and consuming REST APIs (core requirement)
• Experience working with microservices architectures
• Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Strong understanding of JavaScript (TypeScript nice to have but not essential)
• Experience working in integration-heavy environments (APIs between systems, middleware layers)
• Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in debugging and resolving system integration issues
• Comfortable working in production-critical environments

Nice to Have:

• Experience integrating with ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
• Background in manufacturing, MES, or industrial environments
• Familiarity with Windows Server / IIS environments
• Exposure to cloud or modern DevOps practices
