The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation (PMCF) Team is a dynamic, integrated team dedicated to delivering innovative and effective solutions for PMCF across a high volume of tactics and touchpoints for paid and owned channels. About Role

The Account Manager is a pivotal role within the PMCF team, responsible for the day-to-day leadership and flawless execution of a high volume of integrated marketing campaigns. This role is ideal for a strong Account Coordinator who is hungry to grow and ready to step into an Account Executive role, or a newer marketing/advertising graduate with relevant internship experience who is ready to build a career in client service and account management. This position demands a unique combination of exceptional client relationship management, astute problem-solving capabilities, and rigorous operational expertise with an unwavering attention to detail. As a primary point of contact, you will cultivate strong client partnerships, ensuring seamless project delivery against demanding timelines. Critical to success is your ability to foster effective collaboration across the agency and fully leverage the WPP Open ecosystem to develop innovative and integrated solutions. Key Responsibilities

Client Communication & Relationship Management

  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for assigned client requests and project updates.
  • Support the Account Director and broader account team in maintaining positive client relationships built on trust, responsiveness, and clear communication.
  • Help track client feedback, questions, approvals, and action items to ensure timely follow-up.
  • Proactively flag issues, risks, or opportunities to the senior account team.

Project Management & Delivery

  • Lead the day-to-day management of integrated marketing projects across paid and owned channels.
  • Help develop and maintain project timelines, workback schedules, and task trackers.
  • Ensure deliverables are organized, monitored, and moved through the workflow efficiently.
  • Manage the trafficking of assets, files, and materials across internal teams and external partners.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including status reports, contact reports, and meeting notes.
  • Ensure that all materials are prepared and delivered on time and to the required standard.

Strategic Campaign Planning & Development

  • Collaborate with strategy, creative, and media teams to support integrated campaign planning and delivery.
  • Assist with the development of creative briefs, comms matrices, and other campaign documents as needed.
  • Help translate client and project needs into organized, actionable deliverables.
  • Support the team in keeping campaign planning documents, timelines, and next steps current and accurate.

Creative Support & Analysis

  • Engage with creative work and support internal feedback processes.
  • Organize creative reviews, notes, and follow-up actions between internal teams and clients.
  • Build an understanding of what effective creative looks like and how it supports campaign objectives.
  • Support the account team in ensuring feedback is captured clearly and communicated accurately.

Operational Excellence & Process Support

  • Maintaining efficient account workflows and strong internal organization.
  • Keep files, trackers, and documentation structured and easy to access.
  • Support the account team in identifying ways to improve efficiency and reduce missed steps.
  • Bring a strong sense of follow-through and accountability to all assigned tasks.

WPP Open Integration

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to leverage the full capabilities of WPP Open, ensuring it is integrated into project workflows where relevant.
  • Work closely with all skill sets within the team to support a dynamic and agile environment.
  • Be open to learning new tools, technologies, and ways of working quickly.

Budget & Administrative Support

  • Support basic budget tracking and billing administration under the direction of senior team members.
  • Help maintain accurate records of estimates, spend, and invoice-related information.
  • Flag any discrepancies or concerns to the Account Director or senior account team in a timely manner.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to support the smooth running of the account.

Skills & Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in account coordination, account support, client services, project management, or a related role within an advertising or creative agency.
  • Strong Account Coordinators who are hungry to grow and step into an Account Executive role are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Newer marketing or advertising graduates with relevant internship experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Experience supporting multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and extremely high attention to detail.
  • Highly proactive, responsive, and eager to learn.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively across teams and supporting senior account leads.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and follow through on tasks with accuracy and care.
  • Interest in advertising, client service, and growing a career in account management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Familiarity with agency systems and technologies, including WPP Open, is an asset or a strong willingness to learn new platforms quickly.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from CA$39,750 to CA$66,250. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
