Role Purpose

This role is responsible for the development, configuration, and optimisation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, with exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, and Advanced Warehousing considered a plus.

The position plays a critical role in enabling efficient production, inventory control, and traceability across SPC Global operations.

Key Responsibilities

D365 Development & Configuration

  • Develop and customise D365 F&O using:
  • X++
  • Extensions (not over layering)
  • Support core modules:
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Manufacturing (BOMs, routes)
  • Finance (as required)

Advanced Warehousing (Critical Capability)

  • Configure and optimise:
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • License plate tracking
  • Mobile device workflows
  • Design and support:
  • Putaway and picking strategies
  • Batch and serial tracking
  • Inventory disposition processes

Manufacturing & Operations Support

  • Support production processes including:
  • BOMs and route optimisation
  • Co-manufacturing integration
  • Shop floor execution
  • Improve system utilisation across operations teams

Integration Collaboration

  • Work closely with Azure Integration Specialist to:
  • Enable seamless D365 integrations
  • Support data exchange with external systems
  • Assist in API and data entity design

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to:
  • Automate manual processes
  • Improve system performance
  • Enhance reporting and data visibility

Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide Level 2/3 support for D365 issues
  • Resolve production and warehouse-related system issues quickly
  • Work with MSP where required

Key Deliverables (First 6–12 Months)

  • Stabilisation and optimisation of D365 environment
  • Improved warehouse efficiency and accuracy
  • Enhanced traceability (critical for FMCG)
  • Support successful integration of new entities (e.g. OJC)

Skills & Experience

Education & Qualifications (Minimum Requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Alternatively, equivalent industry experience (5+ years) in lieu of formal qualifications
  • Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations certifications

D365 Developer

  • Strong experience in:
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O development (X++)
  • Data entities and integrations
  • Deep knowledge of:
  • Advanced Warehousing (WMS)
  • Inventory management and tracking
  • Manufacturing processes

Desirable

  • Experience in FMCG / food production environments
  • Understanding of:
  • Quality and compliance requirements
  • Traceability and batch control
  • Exposure to Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps)

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Ability to work directly with operational teams
  • Pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset
  • Comfortable working in cost-conscious environments
