Power BI Developer - Junior, 2-4 YOE (Philippines)

As a Junior Power BI Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that support business decision making. You will translate business requirements into effective data visualisations with a moderate level of independence, ensuring accuracy, usability, and performance while collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.

What You’ll Do and How You’ll Succeed

Dashboard and Report Development

• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Translate business requirements into effective visualisations and data models.
• Design user friendly dashboards that clearly communicate insights.
• Ensure reports are accurate, performant, and aligned with business needs.

Data Modeling and Transformation

• Build and maintain data models within Power BI.
• Perform data transformation and cleansing using Power Query.
• Create calculated columns and measures using DAX.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across reports.

Data Analysis and Insights

• Analyse datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Support business teams by providing data driven insights.
• Validate data outputs and ensure alignment with business expectations.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work with business users to gather and clarify reporting requirements.
• Communicate clearly with both technical and non technical stakeholders.
• Provide regular updates on development progress and deliverables.

Report Optimisation and Maintenance

• Optimise report performance and data refresh processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to dashboards and datasets.
• Maintain and enhance existing reports as requirements evolve.

Documentation and Governance

• Document data sources, report logic, and dashboard designs.
• Follow best practices for report versioning and data governance.
• Ensure consistency and standardisation across reporting assets.

We’d Love to Hear From You If…

Experience

• You have two to four (2-4) years of experience in Power BI development or business intelligence roles.
• You hold a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, data analytics, or a related field.
• You have hands on experience delivering dashboards and reports in a business environment.

Technical Expertise

• Strong proficiency in Power BI including reporting, dashboards, and data modelling.
• Solid knowledge of DAX and Power Query.
• Experience using SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Good understanding of data visualisation best practices.
• Experience working with cloud data platforms, data warehousing concepts, or multiple data sources is an advantage.
• Familiarity with data governance and reporting standards is a plus.

• Good communication and stakeholder engagement capability.
• Comfortable taking ownership of reporting deliverables and working with minimal supervision.
