Account Manager / Commercial Executive (Dayforce)

About the role
We’re looking for a commercially driven Commercial Executive to join our growing team at Silver Cloud.
This role sits within our Dayforce Practice and is focused on driving revenue growth across both existing Silver Cloud clients and new Dayforce customers not currently working with us. It’s a relationship-led, proactive commercial role with a strong focus on identifying opportunities, building pipeline, and turning client need into long-term value.
You’ll work closely with senior leaders across the practice, helping to grow existing accounts, open up new client opportunities, and support the overall commercial success of the Dayforce offering.
This role would suit someone from a Business Development, Account Management, Customer Success, Client Partner or Commercial background.

You’ll report directly to our CRO.
What you’ll do
- Proactively identify and develop upsell and expansion opportunities within Silver Cloud’s existing Dayforce client base
- Build relationships with Dayforce customers not currently working with Silver Cloud and generate new commercial opportunities
- Work closely with the Commercial Director and wider practice leads to progress deals and shape commercial activity
- Develop a strong understanding of client needs, challenges, and future potential
- Support the growth of optimisation, managed services, and wider transformation opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with Dayforce CSMs and AEs to generate introductions and qualify opportunities
- Maintain clear account plans and nurture activity across strategic clients
- Support qualification, deal progression, and pipeline development across the practice
- Keep HubSpot up to date with accurate opportunity data, next steps, and stage progression
- Contribute to weekly pipeline reviews and monthly forecasting
- Flag stalled opportunities, commercial risks, or qualification concerns early
- Support bid preparation, proposals, and deal structuring where needed
- Help ensure clients have a clear and actively maintained roadmap for success
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in a B2B commercial role, ideally within professional services, HR tech, SaaS, consulting, or a related environment
- Strong experience in new business development, including prospecting, qualification, pipeline building, and conversion
- Experience growing existing client accounts through upsell, expansion, or relationship-led commercial activity
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage credibly with senior HR, systems, finance, or technology stakeholders
- Comfortable working across both existing business and new business activity
- A proactive and commercially focused mindset, with the energy to drive opportunities forward rather than wait for them to appear
- Good discipline around CRM and pipeline management, ideally with HubSpot experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple opportunities at once
- Comfortable working closely with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Particularly relevant backgrounds might include
- Business development within a professional services or consulting environment
- Account management with a strong commercial / growth focus
- Customer Success roles with clear revenue or expansion ownership
- Commercial roles within HR tech, payroll tech, SaaS, or transformation-led businesses
- Client-side or partner-side roles within the Dayforce ecosystem
- Experience with Dayforce or similar HCM / payroll platforms would be helpful, but is not essential
