SAP Technical Developer (ABAP)

Role Overview: As a Senior ABAP Developer within the KPMG Delivery Network (KDN), you will be the technical engine behind our global SAP transformations. We are looking for a high-caliber developer who excels in modern ABAP programming models (RAP/VCP) and can deliver robust, scalable code that bridges the gap between core SAP functions and innovative business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Design & Development: Lead the development of complex RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows) objects.
• Modern ABAP Mastery: Develop and optimize solutions using ABAP on HANA, specifically utilizing CDS Views, AMDP, and the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
• Interface & Integration: Build and maintain secure integrations using OData Services, IDocs, BAPIs, and RFCs.
• Performance Tuning: Conduct deep-dive performance analysis and code optimization to ensure custom developments run efficiently in high-volume HANA environments.
• Quality Advocacy: Perform rigorous code reviews to ensure compliance with KPMG’s global development standards and security protocols.
• Collaboration: Partner with Functional Consultants (QM, MM, FI, etc.) to translate business requirements into detailed Technical Specification Documents (TSD).

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
• S/4HANA Expertise: At least 2 full-cycle implementations involving S/4HANA.
• Technical Depth: * Expert knowledge of Object-Oriented ABAP (OOPS).
• Proficiency in Adobe Forms, Enhancement Framework (BAdIs, User Exits), and BTEs.
• Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development (extending standard apps and building custom ones) is a major advantage.
• Tools: Proficiency in using ADT (ABAP Development Tools in Eclipse).

Preferred "Stand-Out" Skills

• Cross-Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) and Side-by-Side extensions.
• Global Delivery: Previous experience working with Australian or APJ clients, demonstrating an understanding of global coding standards and documentation.
• Certifications: SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP with SAP NetWeaver or ABAP for SAP HANA.
