Role: Founding Full-Stack Engineer

Location: New York City, Onsite 5 days a week

This is an exciting opportunity to join as an early engineering hire, working closely with the founders to build production-grade AI applications used by leading pharmaceutical teams.

The role will focus on owning key parts of the product, from backend services and APIs through to LLM agents, infrastructure, integrations and deployment pipelines.

Expectations:

• Build and scale core backend services, APIs and application workflows
• Develop reliable systems for ingestion, retrieval, annotation and compliance-focused processes
• Package and deploy LLM/RAG agents into production environments
• Build background job systems, queues and workflows for scheduling, retries and processing at scale
• Work across cloud infrastructure, deployment, secrets management, networking and autoscaling
• Develop integrations with enterprise platforms used across pharmaceutical marketing and content workflows
• Support file processing, OCR, embedding pipelines and metadata enrichment across documents and images
• Collaborate directly with the founders on product direction, technical decisions and startup growth
• Contribute across the full stack, including frontend development where needed

Requirements:

• Strong full-stack engineering background with experience building and deploying production software
• Hands-on experience with Python, FastAPI, Docker and AWS
• Experience designing APIs, backend services, distributed workflows and scalable application architecture
• Exposure to LLMs, RAG pipelines, agentic workflows or AI-based product development
• Strong understanding of databases, caching, queues and cloud-based systems
• Ability to work independently, make decisions and take ownership in a fast-paced startup environment
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working closely with founders, product teams and customers
• Strong engineering fundamentals with the ability to ship quickly while maintaining reliable, observable systems

Nice to have:

• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph or similar LLM orchestration frameworks
• Experience with Celery, Redis, Postgres, Pinecone or other vector databases
• Exposure to pharma, life sciences, healthcare or regulated industries
• Experience building integrations with enterprise platforms such as Veeva, Adobe or Figma
• Background working in early-stage startups or high-growth engineering environments
• Interest in AI applications across commercialisation, compliance or pharmaceutical marketing
