Job Summary
Lead embedded/IoT business expansion across target verticals with deeper account ownership—originating pipeline, qualifying initiatives, and expanding share-of-wallet. This role partners closely with engineering/product teams and alliances to bring Supermicro embedded/industrial offerings to market, establish credibility with technical stakeholders, and build repeatable plays for sustained growth.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
- Develop vertical account strategies and GTM plays for embedded/IoT/edge; build pipeline aligned to product capability and roadmap
- Identify, win, and expand accounts; build multi-threaded executive sponsorship and cross-sell/upsell paths
- Prospect and qualify opportunities; create target lists and execute outbound programs (cold calls/email/events)
- Drive joint pursuits with partners/alliances; build business cases and deliver industry-backed strategies
- Operate with discipline: keep pipeline accurate, forecast credibly, and run consistent cadence meetings
- Work closely with engineering/product/solutions teams to ensure feasibility, customer satisfaction, and delivery success
- Mentor/coach junior BD team members on qualification standards, pipeline progression, and account planning
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 8+ years experience (BD/enterprise sales into embedded/IoT/edge/industrial verticals)
- Clear success originating pipeline and advancing complex pursuits involving both technical and business stakeholders
- Strong ability to translate customer application needs into solution architectures and business value outcomes
- Experience working with partner ecosystems and alliances preferred
- Strong execution discipline: CRM, forecasting, cadence, and stakeholder communication
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
