Role Summary

In this role, you will hunt and drive our growth for new logo acquisition in the medium to enterprise market. You will establish and nurture a pipeline of strategic prospects, research and quote opportunities for data solutions, present the APX Net value proposition to decision makers and negotiate and close business.


The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 8+ years of experience selling data products to enterprise businesses, preferably within a telecommunications service provider.


Responsibilities

  • Leverage your existing network of business contacts to source leads.
  • Develop new target lists and identify key decision-makers involved in purchasing data services.
  • Generate new leads with targeted businesses through various prospecting efforts, including cold calling and referrals.
  • Follow up on website leads seeking data solutions.
  • Maintain an active pipeline by nurturing prospects through email and phone follow up.
  • Exhibit a high level of activity and urgency to meet and exceed all sales targets.
  • Identify fiber opportunities near current APX customers.
  • Utilize consultative sales methods to listen actively to prospects, fully understand their business, uncover challenges, and pinpoint areas where our solutions can help.
  • Collaborate with APX Net’s wholesale suppliers to design tailored solutions.
  • Research the availability of fiber services on provider portals and other connectivity platforms.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations that showcase knowledge of APX products.
  • Review incoming orders for completeness and accuracy, ensuring proper customer setup.
  • Attend events as necessary to network and expand the direct sales channel.
  • Seek innovative ways to promote and enhance the APX brand.
  • Input data into the CRM system, including contacts, company information, conversation details, quotes, and more.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships while working with internal APX teams to resolve issues requiring sales assistance.


Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years of direct sales experience in telecommunications.
  • Proficient in cold calling and prospecting for new business opportunities.
  • Experience selling data products such as Dedicated Internet Access, Point to Point, SD-WAN, and monitoring solutions.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas.
  • Strong self-management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Solid presentation skills, both virtually and in person.
  • High energy and a strong desire for success.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A BA/BS degree is preferred.
