We’re partnered with a highly specialized, engineering-driven provider of water and wastewater infrastructure solutions supporting municipal, commercial, industrial, and development markets across the Midwest and beyond.
This organization combines product distribution + application engineering + system design support, helping clients solve complex infrastructure challenges across collection systems, treatment, and distribution. Their team brings 200+ years of combined industry experience and is known for delivering “smart infrastructure” solutions that improve operational performance, reduce long-term costs, and drive better outcomes for end users.
They are growing and looking to add an Account Manager to own and expand a Northern Illinois territory.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Own and grow relationships with consulting engineers, municipalities, utilities, contractors, and developers
- Act as a technical advisor, not just a salesperson - supporting system design, product selection, and application strategy
- Drive projects across pressure sewer systems, lift stations, pump systems, and treatment solutions
- Partner closely with manufacturers and internal engineering teams to deliver the right solution for each application
- Manage the full sales cycle - quotes, specs, submittals, orders, and post-sale support
- Support customers through design, installation, and ongoing system performance
- Cover Northern Illinois / Northwest Indiana with regional travel

What They’re Looking For
- 3–5+ years of outside sales in water/wastewater, mechanical, infrastructure, or industrial markets
- Experience with pump systems, sewer systems, or treatment solutions strongly preferred
- Existing relationships with engineers, municipalities, or contractors is a major advantage
- Ability to operate in a technical, consultative sales environment
- Strong ownership mentality - someone who can run a territory like a business
