About the Company



We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Retail Account Manager to lead and expand our brand’s presence within Local retailers across Colombia. The ideal candidate will be the key bridge between our brand and Local retailers’ category managers and store operations teams. You will be responsible for ensuring our products are perfectly positioned, our sales staff is expertly trained, and our growth targets are consistently met within this critical retail channel.



About the Role



The Retail Account Manager will play a crucial role in managing relationships and driving sales within Local retailers, ensuring optimal product placement and execution of marketing strategies.



Responsibilities



  • Channel Management & Strategic Partnership
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Local retailers‘ category managers and buyers.
  • Negotiate floor space, shelf positioning, and promotional slots to maximize brand visibility.
  • Develop and execute annual/quarterly joint business plans (JBP) with Homecenter to drive mutual growth.


  • Sales & Sell-out Optimization
  • Analyze weekly sales data (Sell-in/Sell-out) and inventory levels to ensure optimal stock rotation and prevent out-of-stock scenarios.
  • Design and implement localized promotional activities and "In-store" marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor competitor activities within Homecenter and provide actionable market insights.


  • Retail Excellence & Store Operations
  • Conduct regular store visits to ensure SI/VI (Store Identity) compliance and planogram execution.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of in-store promoters; conduct product training sessions to ensure they can effectively communicate our product USPs.
  • Coordinate the logistics and setup of new product displays or branded zones within Homecenter locations.


  • Financial & Budget Management
  • Manage the channel budget, including promotional rebates, marketing funds, and logistics costs.
  • Ensure all commercial agreements and trade terms with Homecenter are executed accurately.




Qualifications



  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in Retail Management or Key Account Management (KAM) in Colombia.
  • Industry Background: Direct experience working with Home Center or other major DIY/Home Improvement retailers (e.g., Easy, Constructor) is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Colombian retail landscape, consumer behavior, and big-box retailer operations.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, data analysis (Excel), and relationship-building skills.
  • Languages: Native Spanish; Professional English (required for reporting to HQ).
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel frequently to different store locations within Bogotá and occasionally to other cities (Medellín, Cali, etc.).
