About the position
As our new Software Engineer Student, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining tools that support our power trading activities. You will work closely with traders, analysts, and developers to build systems that process data, support decision-making, and help optimize trading strategies in the energy market.
What you will be doing
In this role, you will support the development of software solutions that enable data-driven power trading. You will work with both data and applications, contributing to tools that are used daily by traders and analysts.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining internal tools for trading, analysis, and reporting
- Working with data pipelines for market data, forecasts, and trades
- Building simple dashboards and visualizations to support decision-making
- Debugging, testing, and improving existing systems
- Contributing to automation and integrations (APIs, databases, cloud services)
What makes you a great fit
You are currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in software engineering, computer science, data science, or a related field, and you are eager to apply your skills in a real-world setting.
We imagine that you:
- Have a solid foundation in programming (e.g., Python, SQL, Java, or C#) and are familiar with Git
- Are analytical, structured, and comfortable working with data and problem-solving
- Communicate well and enjoy collaborating with both technical and non-technical colleagues
- Are curious, proactive, and motivated to learn about both systems and business processes
- Structured and detail-oriented working style
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
It is a plus if you also:
- Have experience with cloud technologies, including Azure and Kubernetes
