Senior Software Engineer

You combine strong technical depth with architectural thinking and a hands-on engineering mindset. Working closely with experienced colleagues across development and business, you help shape scalable systems, influence technical direction and raise the engineering bar around you.

DIVE INTO WHAT YOUR DAY-TO-DAY TASKS WILL BE

In this role, you take an active part in shaping the technical direction of our digital landscape. You modernise existing systems, build new solutions and turn complexity into reliable, scalable software that supports both trading and long-term growth.

Your mission is to:

• Design, develop, test and deploy stable, scalable and secure software solutions
• Take architectural responsibility and influence the long-term direction of our digital platform
• Build resilient services and systems designed for performance, scalability and maintainability
• Drive technical improvements and challenge existing solutions with a strong engineering mindset
• Collaborate closely across teams while supporting knowledge sharing, sparring and engineering quality

You’ll join an autonomous, cross-functional team with end-to-end ownership of its domain, spanning design, architecture, implementation and operations.

LET’S SWITCH THE FOCUS TO YOU

You are an experienced engineer who thrives with ownership, technical responsibility and the opportunity to influence how solutions are designed and built. You bring strong engineering fundamentals, architectural understanding and the confidence to challenge decisions when better solutions exist.

We imagine that you bring:

• Extensive experience building scalable systems in C# and .NET, with a consistent approach to clean, maintainable code and modern design patterns
• Hands-on experience designing and building resilient, event-driven services in distributed and cloud-native environments
• Experience balancing scalability, reliability and maintainability when designing architectures for complex production systems
• Experience taking technical ownership and helping shape engineering direction through architectural decisions, sparring and pragmatic technical leadership

If you also have insight into the energy sector, it will be an advantage, but it is not required.
