BYD Peru is seeking a strategic and results-driven Sales Director (Passenger Vehicles) to lead the brand’s commercial strategy and market expansion nationwide. This executive role will drive sustainable sales growth, strengthen dealer network performance, accelerate EV adoption across corporate and government sectors, and reinforce BYD’s leadership in sustainable mobility.



Key Responsibilities

Commercial Leadership & Sales Strategy

  • Lead BYD’s national commercial strategy to achieve growth objectives, profitability targets, and market penetration.
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans, nationwide expansion programs, and annual sales roadmaps.
  • Define pricing strategies, business models, channel development approaches, and commercial frameworks aligned with corporate policies.
  • Strengthen BYD’s positioning as a leading EV brand in Peru through structured commercial execution.

Dealer Network & Key Partner Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with authorized dealers, distributors, and strategic partners.
  • Monitor dealer performance, ensuring alignment with BYD global standards, sales processes, retail excellence, brand compliance, and customer experience.
  • Provide commercial guidance, training, and operational support to enhance dealer productivity and competitiveness.
  • Support the introduction of new models, sales programs, and commercial initiatives across the dealer network.

Electric Mobility Development & Strategic Ecosystem Engagement

  • Support the growth of the electric vehicle market in Peru by fostering partnerships with government institutions, corporate fleets, and strategic organizations.
  • Participate in EV policy discussions, sustainability programs, fleet electrification initiatives, and infrastructure development engagements when needed.
  • Promote BYD’s EV technology leadership and enhance visibility in key market segments.

CRM, Market Intelligence & Performance Management

  • CRM utilization to ensure accurate pipeline tracking, account management visibility, and customer lifecycle monitoring.
  • Conduct continuous market research and competitor benchmarking to identify opportunities, risks, and trends.
  • Track commercial KPIs including sales performance, conversion rates, dealer performance metrics, campaign ROI, and market share indicators.
  • Prepare executive business reports, strategic insights, forecasts, and actionable recommendations for senior leadership.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing, Product Management, Logistics, Finance, After Sales and Supply Chain teams.
  • Support demand planning, forecasting, inventory alignment, and on-time order execution.
  • Contribute to marketing strategies, campaigns, launch events, and brand-building activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, International Trade, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 6-10 years of experience in automotive sales, business development, or market leadership, nationwide or regional scope.
  • Proven experience working with dealer networks, automotive distribution channels, or strategic commercial operations.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and execution discipline.
  • Native Spanish and Professional English.
  • Strong corporate and government network is an advantage.
