About The Role
At Chinova, we are using the power of mushrooms to help improve quality, freshness, and shelf-life which ultimately leads to reducing food waste. The Sales Account Manager is responsible for maximizing sales, profitability, growth and product penetration within an assigned territory. This position will report directly to the CEO and/or the COO.
Number Of Openings
There are 2 roles open. One Account Manager to cover US West Coast and One Account Manager to cover US Mid West.
Position Summary
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to presenting and closing the sale
- Establish and develop business relationships with new prospective customers to generate new sales for Chinova’s products
- Research sources to develop prospective customers and determine their potential
- Create and manage a customer value plan to identify share and value opportunities
- Educate clients on the value proposition Chinova can provide
- Ensure customer concerns are addressed and resolved in a positive and friendly manner
- Remain apprised of industry trends and changes to the competitive environment
- Stay abreast of industry developments and their impact on the organization’s competitiveness and product offerings
- Updated CRM with highlights of each customer meeting, enter new projects, and record samples as they are shipped. Include notes on customer needs, problems, interests, and potential for new products
- Update all necessary documentation to share client updates/ status with the CEO/COO
- Actively participate in trade shows, training seminars, and conventions
- Lead generation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate with others

- Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks
- Self motivated, can work independently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Discipline to develop new markets and manage a lengthy sales cycle

- Experience with CRM software
- Travel will be required
- Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent work experience within the food ingredients industry
- 2-3 years of direct sales experience in a B2B environment, comfortable at all customer levels from multinational brands to small to medium sized brands
