Role Purpose

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Backend Engineer. This is a mission-critical role. We are a small, diverse, agile, and high-performance engineering team. We’re looking for versatile developers who will:


The responsibilities we entrust you with

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
  • Design robust, scalable, secure, and AI-ready features and architectures
  • Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
  • Follow best practices (test-driven development, continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring, and code standards)
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
  • Drive continuous adoption and integration of relevant new technologies, including AI-powered development tools and automation frameworks
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to help plan the work ahead
  • Participate in the integration of AI/ML-driven features such as intelligent recommendations, workflow automation, predictive analytics, or conversational interfaces where relevant
  • Leverage AI-assisted coding tools to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and delivery efficiency
  • Contribute to system observability, monitoring, and data-driven optimization initiatives


What matters in this role:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Proven software development experience with strong fundamentals in OOP, system design, and scalable architectures
  • Experience building REST APIs, working with databases (SQL and NoSQL), and understanding authentication, caching, and web security
  • Strong coding skills with a focus on clean, efficient, and maintainable code
  • Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD, and unit testing practices
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Google Cloud) is an advantage
  • Knowledge of frontend technologies (React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS) is an advantage
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails and/or payment systems/integrations is a plus
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) or interest in AI/LLM-based applications is an advantage
