Senior Web Developer

As a Senior Web Developer at Rebtel, you will join the team building systems in Next.js, Typescript, GraphQL, React Testing Library, and Cypress. We’re looking for someone who can help us make the most of these technologies to build a sustainable and scalable platform that we’ll build on top of for years to come, while also maintaining and incrementally modernizing our legacy system.

We’re looking for a pragmatic and product-minded engineer with strong technical judgment and a keen intuition for customer experience. We believe AI-assisted software development is becoming a core part of modern engineering, and our engineers actively leverage AI tools to improve productivity, code quality, and decision-making.

We work in an Agile environment to manage tasks and plan product roadmaps, involving regular goal-setting, backlog refinements, retrospectives, and clear communication. This approach enables developers to influence strategy, goals, and planning. Everyone on the team is expected to contribute to both execution and continuous improvement of how we build software.

Areas Of Ownership

• Contribute expertise to elevate the web platform to the next level while actively sharing knowledge and learning from others in the team.
• Drive continuous improvements in user experience and enhance how users interact with the software.
• Contribute to designing and building complex software that is maintainable, secure, and scalable.
• Participate in technical discussions, uphold coding best practices, and deliver simple, reliable solutions to complex technical and product challenges.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables by covering edge cases and writing unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate effectively within the team and across functions, while also taking ownership as a sole developer within designated areas.
• Use modern AI-assisted development workflows to improve engineering effectiveness, including AI-supported coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and software delivery practices.
• Contribute to evolving our AI-SDLC practices, helping the team adopt effective and responsible ways of integrating AI into day-to-day engineering workflows.

• You are an excellent communicator and collaborator in English. We work in English, but you will hear many languages in our Stockholm office
• 5+ years of full-time professional experience
• Highly proficient in JavaScript and Typescript
• Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools and workflows as part of the software development lifecycle
• Comfortable evaluating and adopting new AI-enabled development practices that improve code quality, velocity, and operational efficiency
• Experience with development lifecycle tools and processes (GitHub, Jira)
• Knowledgeable and experienced in modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries (React, Angular, Vue, etc.)
• Experience integrating REST and GraphQL
• Experienced in writing clear and concise documentation
• Committed to writing structured, clean, and testable code
• Able to raise the level of everyone around you
• Enjoys exploring new technologies and evaluating practical solutions to engineering challenges
• Continuously learning and adapting as technologies and engineering practices evolve
• Has a vision for product development and how a codebase evolves
