The Role 

As a Fullstack Developer, you will join Viaplay with the mission of bringing the best user experience to our customers. You will join a team that works with commerce-services; attract new users and convert them to become subscribers of Viaplay. You will deliver engineering solutions aligned with technical and product long-term visions. The team delivers on clear goals based on our customer journey and commercial targets and is fully self-reliable in how to create the best solutions to reach their goals. Some Of You Daily Tasks Will Include

• Building solid and high-performing microservices in Node.js and modern front-end frameworks
• Microservice/Serverless architecture
• Using multiple programming paradigms and languages
• Flexible production environment supported by Github Actions and AWS services such as Lambdas, DynamoDB etc.
• An agile development process where we promote pair/mob programming
• Improving our product iterations based on consumer feedback and behavior data

What We’re Looking For 

• We are looking for motivated developers with enthusiasm for software development and an interest in constantly improving their skills.
• You have worked with a variety of tasks requiring complex problem-solving using JavaScript and TypeScript. If you also have an interest in multiple programming languages, you will fit right in!

Ideal Candidates Also Meet The Following Requirements

• Solid work life experience developing web-based services, using Node.js and React
• Good understanding of REST API
• Understanding of test- or behavior-driven development (TDD/BDD) including supporting frameworks
• Experience in developing services in AWS
• An interest and motivation to work with modern frontend and backend frameworks (NestJS, Next.JS)

It’s a bonus if you have: 

• Experience working with a state-less and high transactional end-user product
• Experience of working with PHP, Java, or Rust
