- Strategic Relationship Management
- Relationship Ownership: Build and maintain high-impact relationships across executive, business, and technical tiers within partner organizations.
- Advocacy: Represent Uber's technical priorities in partner roadmap reviews and beta programs to ensure their future products meet our future needs.
- Governance: Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and executive briefings to maintain strategic alignment and transparency.
- Escalation Path: Serve as the primary point of contact for critical partner-related issues, including service outages and support delays.
- Operational Excellence & Incident Response
- Crisis Coordination: Oversee partner participation in incident responses and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes.
- Code Yellow Leadership: Facilitate technical "Code Yellow" meetings with partner teams and Uber leadership, driving deep-dive technical resolutions until exit criteria are met.
- SLA Oversight: Ensure partners consistently meet uptime and support commitments; track and close all pending RCA action items.
- Resource Management: Manage external engagements and contractors, ensuring they are scoped correctly and delivering value.
- Business Development & Strategy Support
- Strategic Alignment: Bridge the gap between partner roadmaps and internal Product/Engineering goals.
- Joint Initiatives: Facilitate co-development and pilot programs that offer Uber a competitive edge.
- Information Hub: Maintain a pulse on the cloud market, sharing updates on new offerings and pilot opportunities with internal stakeholders.
- Commercial & Technical Stewardship
- Contract Support: Partner with Procurement and Legal during renewals and negotiations, providing the business context and relationship history needed to secure favorable terms.
- Financial Oversight: Track cloud consumption and spend dashboards, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and rebate utilization.
- Architectural Validation: Collaborate with Engineering to validate that partner solutions meet Uber's high standards for security, reliability, and scalability.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Partner Management, Technical Account Management, or Cloud Procurement within a large-scale tech environment.
- Deep cloud fluency and understanding of major cloud platforms such as AWS, OCI, GCP, and Azure.
- Crisis management and communication skills to stay calm during high-priority technical incidents and translate complex issues for executive leadership
- Experience: 5+ years in Partner Management, Technical Account Management, or Cloud Engineering within a large-scale technology environment.
- Cloud Fluency: Deep understanding of the major cloud ecosystems (AWS, OCI, GCP, or Azure) and their service offerings.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical issues into business impact for executive leadership.
- Crisis Management: Proven track record of staying calm and organized during high-priority technical incidents or "Code Yellow" scenarios.
- Analytical Rigor: Ability to analyze consumption data, budget adherence, and technical SLAs to drive data-driven decisions.
- Collaboration: A "bridge-builder" mentality-comfortable working across Engineering (Infrastructure and product engineering teams), Finance, Compliance, Legal, and Security.
