Role Summary
The strategic function is to create and manage long-term relationships with customers. Account professionals work as trusted advisors to shape solutions and solve our customers' most critical business problems. Members of this job family are accountable for overall profitable growth and exceptional delivery.
Essential Job Functions
- Manage client accounts, ensuring that client needs are met, and solutions are delivered effectively.
- Support the development and execution of account strategies and contribute to profitable growth.
- Maintain regular client communication, building strong relationships and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute account-related projects successfully.
- Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities to grow the account portfolio.
- Participate in preparing and delivering client reports and presentations.
- Actively monitor industry trends and adapt account strategies accordingly.
- Support and mentor junior account management professionals in their growth.
- Minimum 4 to 5 years in IT services sales experience
- Ideal candidate to possess public sector experience with good networks and connections
- Experience in managing accounts with a focus on farming.
- Account/cluster planning with the ability to come up with propositions on how to grow the cluster (strategic planning)
- Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated success in account leadership roles, meeting or exceeding sales and revenue objectives and building client relationships.
- Leadership and strategic planning capabilities, effective communication skills, and a history of contributing to business growth
- A continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology
- An advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Account Executive (CAE) or Certified Strategic Account Manager (CSAM) are a plus
