Full Stack Engineer

Alderson Loop is seeking a Sr. Full Stack Developer to play a key role in a large-scale AWS-first cloud transformation initiative. This role is ideal for a highly technical engineer with strong hands-on experience across the application, data, and front-end layers, capable of designing end-to-end solutions and contributing to modern cloud-native development.

You will help build and deliver modern applications that support AI-enabled initiatives and the organization’s transition to a cloud-first, product-based model. This is a high-impact role in a fast-moving, startup-like environment where strong technical execution directly shapes outcomes.

A key focus of this role is leveraging modern AI development workflows, including AI code companions, agentic engineering tools, and accelerated development practices. The ideal candidate understands how to responsibly use AI-assisted development to improve delivery speed, code quality, and engineering efficiency while maintaining strong engineering discipline.

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Development

• Design and develop cloud-native, full-stack applications in an AWS-first environment
• Contribute across:
• Application Layer: Python, Java, or Go services, APIs, and microservices
• Data Layer: PostgreSQL or MySQL schema design, performance tuning, and integrations
• Front End: React or Angular modern UI development
• Support migration from legacy systems to scalable AWS architectures and cloud-native patterns
• Help establish and follow engineering standards, best practices, and reusable frameworks

AI-Accelerated Engineering & Agentic Development

• Leverage AI code companions and modern AI-assisted development workflows across day-to-day engineering work
• Support agentic development environments using tools such as AWS Bedrock and other AI-enabled platforms
• Utilize coding assistants, workflow automation, and AI acceleration tools to improve delivery speed and developer productivity
• Ensure AI-assisted development maintains code quality, security, scalability, and architectural integrity
• Contribute to best practices for integrating agentic workflows into engineering execution

Delivery & Collaboration

• Support the creation of cloud baselines, data foundations, and AI/agentic development environments
• Contribute to AI-enabled initiatives such as chatbots, intelligent forms processing, and client onboarding optimization
• Collaborate closely with engineers, product owners, and leadership in Agile delivery cycles (6-week increments)
• Provide technical input for architecture, tooling, and implementation decisions
• Help mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and ownership

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience developing full-stack applications in AWS cloud environments
• Hands-on expertise across multiple layers of the stack, including a strong mix of:
• Python, Java, or Go (application/services)
• PostgreSQL or MySQL (data architecture)
• React or Angular (front-end development)
• Strong experience with cloud-native architectures (microservices, serverless, event-driven design)
• Experience using AI code companions (such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Bedrock, or similar tools) to accelerate software delivery
• Practical understanding of agentic workflows and AI-assisted engineering practices
• Experience delivering solutions in Agile product environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to align technical solutions to business goals

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certifications strongly preferred:
• Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)
• DevOps Engineer Professional
• Data Specialty
• Machine Learning Specialty (nice to have)
• Experience with AI/ML integrations or agentic AI platforms (e.g., AWS Bedrock)
• Familiarity with cloud security, identity management, and compliance considerations
• Experience working in product-based delivery models
• Exposure to establishing standards for AI-assisted development and automation workflows
