The Sales Account Manager is responsible for growing and maintaining customer relationships — from the first call to ongoing service management. This role combines sales outreach, customer onboarding, and operational oversight to ensure every account receives consistent, quality service.

  • Proven experience in sales, customer service, or account management (janitorial or facilities industry preferred).
  • Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally for customer visits and site inspections.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Lead Management

  • Contact incoming leads through calls, emails, and follow-ups.
  • Schedule appointments for quotes and on-site walkthroughs with prospective customers.
  • Prepare and present service proposals to close new accounts.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

Account Onboarding & Operations

  • Manage the onboarding process for new clients.
  • Hire, assign, and train cleaners for each new account.
  • Conduct walkthroughs with staff to review the scope of work and cleaning standards.
  • Ensure smooth account launches and continuity of service.

Account Management & Quality Control

  • Perform weekly quality audits on customer sites and document findings.
  • Email audit reports and updates to customers promptly.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.
  • Serve as a backup cleaner when assigned staff are absent to ensure uninterrupted service.

Communication & Problem Solving

  • Maintain strong communication with customers, team members, and leadership.
  • Identify and resolve issues independently; escalate when necessary.
  • Proactively suggest service improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
