Job Summary
The Flooring Sales Account Manager plays a critical role in driving revenue growth by building and maintaining relationships with multifamily property managers and apartment communities. This position works closely with customers and internal operations teams to ensure accurate project scoping, timely bids, and successful project execution. Success in this role means strong client partnerships are established, bids are delivered accurately and on time, and projects are completed with a high level of customer satisfaction. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who thrives in a relationship-driven, fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with property managers and apartment communities to drive new and repeat business.
- Ensure accurate project measurements and provide timely, competitive bids using company tools and systems.
- Deliver consistent, high-quality customer service through proactive communication and follow-through on all accounts.
- Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities to build brand presence and generate new business leads.
- Manage contracts, job orders, and account collections to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely processing.
- Coordinate with internal teams to support project execution and ensure materials, scheduling, and installations align with customer expectations.
- Monitor account activity and identify opportunities to grow existing relationships and expand service offerings.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, bids, and sales activity within company systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 1 year of outside sales experience.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation for local travel.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Experience in multifamily housing, flooring, or construction-related industries.
- Familiarity with Measure Square or similar estimating tools.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Stationary Position: Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Mobility: Frequently required to move between office locations, customer sites, and job locations as needed.
- Lifting/Carrying: Occasionally lifts and/or moves items weighing up to 10 pounds.
- Positioning: May be required to bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch when measuring or assessing job sites.
- Manual Dexterity: Frequently operates a computer and other office equipment.
- Communication: Ability to effectively communicate and exchange accurate information with customers and internal teams.
- Office/Design Center: Professional, climate-controlled office environment with moderate noise levels.
- Job Site/Field: Regular travel to customer locations and job sites with exposure to active environments and varying conditions.
- Operational Demands: Role may require meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Safety: Requires adherence to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
