Senior Go Backend Engineer (m/f/d)

The Role:

We’re working with a fast-growing tech company building a high-performance Gaming-as-a-Service platform used to power scalable, real-time gaming experiences.

They’re looking for a Senior Go Backend Engineer to help drive the evolution of the platform architecture, develop new backend services, and build robust systems capable of handling large-scale traffic and real-time game events.

This is a role for someone who enjoys combining deep backend engineering, scalability, architecture ownership, and modern cloud-native development.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Develop and scale a modern Gaming-as-a-Service platform

• Build robust backend systems using Go

• Design and implement scalable microservice architectures

• Develop APIs and real-time communication between clients and backend systems

• Work on systems handling spins, bonus logic, game events, and high-throughput workloads

• Improve performance, reliability, and scalability across the platform

• Drive architectural decisions and contribute to long-term technical strategy

• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements

• Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering best practices

Tech Stack:

• Go (Golang)

• Kotlin

• Docker, Microservices, REST APIs

• GitLab CI/CD & build pipelines

• AWS / Cloud Infrastructure

• TypeScript exposure beneficial

What We’re Looking For:

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience

• Strong expertise in Go / Golang

• Experience building scalable backend systems and distributed architectures

• Strong understanding of clean code, design patterns, and software engineering principles

• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and modern backend tooling

• Cloud experience, ideally AWS, is beneficial

• Interest in using modern AI tools to improve development workflows

• Independent, proactive mindset with strong ownership mentality

• German C1 and good English
