Account Manager – Power Generation Products

Remote with possibly 1 day a week in office. Must be willing to work North Houston market by the airport. Will be managing active and growing new accounts in regards to power generation products (temporary power, turbines, critical power applications). No pure O&G backgrounds will be considered at this time. Must have power generation experience OR one of the below.


No Power Gen - No problem? We are also hiring in these areas as well.

  • Industrial power solutions (power conversion, SST, data center infrastructure)
  • Battery energy storage systems (BESS) and renewable energy projects

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Account Manager – Power Generation


Products to support sales growth and account development across their power generation portfolio.

This role is ideal for a sales professional looking to strengthen customer relationships, support commercial activity, and identify growth opportunities within a technically driven market. You will serve as a key point of contact for customers while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver responsive, high-quality account support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned customer accounts for power generation products and related solutions
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through consistent communication and follow-up
  • Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts and target customers
  • Serve as a primary commercial contact for customer inquiries, quotations, and follow-up
  • Support proposal development, pricing coordination, and commercial documentation
  • Collaborate with internal technical and operations teams to meet customer requirements
  • Maintain CRM activity, opportunity tracking, and forecasting
  • Support contract discussions, order follow-up, and issue resolution
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity
  • Participate in customer visits, trade shows, and sales events


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, account management, or business development within power generation, industrial equipment, energy, or related industries
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer engagement skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and commercial priorities
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to learn technical product applications
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
  • Willingness to travel as needed


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with generators, gas turbines, power systems, or related equipment
  • Exposure to industrial, utility, oil & gas, emergency power, or temporary power applications
  • Experience using CRM systems and managing sales pipelines
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across technical, commercial, and operational teams
  • Interest in long-term growth within industrial or technical sales
