About Trosort
At Trosort, we build AI-powered machines to revolutionize textile sorting. Our product, the SortMate, combines cameras, NIR sensors, and machine learning to automate the grading and sorting of used garments at industrial scale β detecting brand, condition, material, and resale value in real time.
We don't just sort textiles. We're building the data and automation backbone of the circular fashion economy. π
The role
This is a unique hybrid role sitting at the intersection of customer success and applied ML engineering. You will be the technical face of Trosort for our customers β guiding them from onboarding to full deployment β while also contributing directly to the CV/ML product team to extend and adapt our models to new client needs.
You are the bridge between what the customer needs and what the machine can do.
Your impact
β Customer onboarding & success: Lead the technical onboarding of new clients. Understand their sorting workflows, configure the SortMate to their context, and ensure smooth go-live.
β Model adaptation & fine-tuning: Work with the CV/ML team to adapt models (brand recognition, defect detection, attribute extraction) to new garment types, lighting conditions, or product categories.
β Data analysis & feedback loops: Analyze inference data from client deployments to identify performance gaps, edge cases, and distribution shifts. Turn customer feedback into model improvements.
β Technical project management: Own customer implementation projects end-to-end β from requirements gathering to deployment sign-off.
There is a match if you have
β A builder's mindset β as comfortable debugging a model in a notebook as jumping on a customer call
β 3+ years of hands-on CV/ML experience in Python (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar)
β Strong communication skills β you translate technical realities for non-technical customers, and customer needs into engineering specs
β A taste for messy real-world data β you build robust pipelines for noisy, inconsistent production environments
β Fluent in English β you communicate clearly with international clients and partners. French is a plus.
β Last but not least : startup DNA β you don't wait for a perfect spec. You figure it out, ship it, and improve it.
Nice to have
β Experience with edge-deployed models or IoT/embedded contexts
β Familiarity with GCP or similar cloud ML infrastructure
β Prior experience in a customer-facing technical role (solutions engineer, ML consultant, etc.)
β Knowledge of the textile or logistics industry
Why Trosort?
π― Real machines, real impact β you deploy a model update and a machine on the other side of the world changes how it sorts garments. No hypothetical impact here.
π Stock options (ESOP) β competitive salary and equity, because we want you to share in what we're building.
β‘ Tight-knit engineering team β 6 highly motivated engineers. No bureaucracy. Your work is visible and it matters.
π A mission worth it β textile waste is one of the biggest environmental problems in fashion. We're solving it at the source.
π Startup pace, real ownership β no ticket queues, no committee approvals. You see a problem, you fix it. Your fingerprints will be all over the product.
Interested? Your next garment is waiting to be sorted. πβ‘οΈβ
