Marvel Animation is hiring.

Marvel Studios is looking for a Retake Animator to complete fixes to animation to ensure readiness for final picture for an animated production. This person will work as part of the production management team. The ideal candidate is a proactive and positive team-player, with the ability to multi-task amongst shifting priorities, and lead the department forward.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 
Attend animation meetings and reviews in order to be familiar with the history of a shot.
• Review animation renders and attend render check and notes sessions to identify problem shots
• On computer workstation, responsible for mechanical as well as aesthetic fixes to finalized work (i.e., intersections, motion blur pops, eye line adjustment, cloth adjustment, lip synch, reanimation and polish)
• May assist the animation coordinator to enter notes of adjustments into the Production database
• Communicate with animation coordinator and animation supervisor regarding performance-based retakes’ trends and consistent problems
• Finish work for producers, director, or animation supervisor approval in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 
Degree or certificate in classical animation, film, or related field, or equivalent production animation experience

• Solid background and knowledge of animation and software such as Harmony ToonBoom or Clip Studio
• Demonstrated understanding of application of the principles of animation to tell a story with meaning through movement
• Must be open to direction and able to embrace change

• Ability to work under pressure, in a fast paced deadline driven environment
