Account Executive – Vendor Sales

[Remote Hybrid Available to Candidates with existing client/vendor books generating $10m+ annually]
We’re not looking for order-takers. We’re looking for the person their last manager is still trying to replace.
The Account Executive role handles the FULL CYCLE of the transaction. Our target is vendors who sell equipment to small and medium-sized businesses. We connect with them through COLD CALLING, EMAIL OUTREACH, NETWORKING, AND IN-PERSON INDUSTRY EVENTS. Our financing solutions help vendors close more equipment sales while enabling their customers to grow their businesses. We specialize in several key sectors, including culinary, franchise, machine tools, commercial vehicles, and hospitality. As a direct lender, our ability to structure and launch customized financing programs makes Centra a preferred partner for equipment vendors.
Primary Responsibilities
· Operate in client-facing sales role, identify and pursue new prospects through cold calling, networking, and industry trade events to achieve production goals
· Conduct meetings with potential clients to present financing solutions, deliver proposals, and demonstrate how Centra’s offerings support their business needs
· Cultivate relationships with existing vendors and clients to understand evolving needs, resolve concerns, and identify cross-sell opportunities
· Maintain a strong working knowledge of Centra’s product offerings and effectively communicate their benefits to clients
· Manage a high volume of active transactions while maintaining strong organization and attention to detail to ensure deals progress smoothly from origination through funding
· Negotiate terms and agreements to close transactions and secure new business
· Ensure all required client documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner
· Attend industry trade shows, networking events, and company sales meetings as requested by management
· Bring the daily discipline that separates top performers from the rest – our best reps treat high-volume outreach as a competitive advantage, not a checkbox.
· Maintain minimum production requirement; monthly funding volume of $250,000
Requirements
· Minimum of 2 years of sales experience, with a demonstrated ability to exceed performance goals. You are the one who set the standard in your current or previous roles!
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly understand financial concepts and communicate them clearly to clients
· Highly motivated, coachable, and resilient, with the ability to take direction, adapt to feedback, and continuously improve performance
Preferences
· Relevant Sales Experience. Equipment Finance, Automotive Finance, Experience in a hunter role, working with small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs
· Time or Tenure. We care far more about your track record than your tenure. If you’ve consistently ranked at the top of your team – regardless of industry – we want to talk. If you’ve never finished in the bottom half of a sales leaderboard, you’ll fit right in here.
· Experience in high-volume prospecting environments, including cold calling, outbound sales, or business development roles
Compensation
· Base salary is intentionally lean – because top performers here don’t need it.
· First-year OTE for strong performers typically ranges between $85,000 - $120,000+ and that’s just the floor.
· Second-year and beyond, high performers routinely clear $20,000+/month in commission.
· Candidates with an existing book of business may qualify for an elevated starting package and a remote role.
