WeTravel is changing the travel industry by building a platform that empowers entrepreneurs to launch and grow their own travel businesses. The company is looking for a Senior Product Engineer to join the Payments team and lead critical projects across collection, disbursement, FX, reconciliation, and card issuing stack. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of product engineering expertise, with 4+ years dedicated to architecting complex payments systems, and experience in deploying and troubleshooting production-level integrations across various PSPs, card acquirer ecosystems, and diverse payment rails.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product engineering expertise
• 4+ years dedicated to architecting complex payments systems
• Broad practical expertise in deploying and troubleshooting production-level integrations across various PSPs, card acquirer ecosystems, and diverse payment rails
• Strong backend mastery in Ruby on Rails, Kotlin, Python, Go, Java, or Node.js
• Full-stack comfort in React/TypeScript
• Deep expertise in architecting robust, resilient distributed systems
• Direct production on-call experience, including authoring post-mortems and leading incident response
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including cross-functional collaboration experience
• Pragmatic adoption of AI tools to optimize engineering workflow
