Position Title: Legal Executive - Real Estate

To ensure that we have the right structures in place to support the achievement of our goals we are currently recruiting for a Legal Executive to join our pre-eminent Residential Sales Team within our Real Estate Group.
The Group, which is renowned nationally and internationally, advises across the complete spectrum of property-related matters.
Our Residential Sales Team acts for developer clients in the sale of new houses and apartments and wishes to recruit an experienced legal executive to join the team.
Please note that this is a permanent position for a career Legal Executive, it would not suit an FE1 candidate.
The Legal Executive will have responsibility for:
- Managing sales files from start to finish of the sales process
- Preparing booklets of title and ancillary documents for the sale
- Liaising with clients and agents for all relevant information for the title pack
- Drafting contracts and issuing to purchasers’ solicitors
- Addressing queries from purchaser’s solicitors
- Replying to Requisitions on Title
- Arranging completions and carrying out closings
- Maintaining and updating trackers of progress on sales and inputting updates into client trackers
- Preparing regular updates for clients
- Drafting and preparing MUDs documents in relation to OMCs
- Dealing with Help to Buy (and any other such scheme) requirements
- Working in a team environment and liaising throughout with clients’ agents and banks
- Preparing necessary documents for registration in the Registry of Deeds and Land Registry and dealing with any queries arising
- Dealing with any post-completion matters such as outstanding undertakings or queries; and
- Other administrative tasks and ad hoc matters as requested.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have -
- Legal executive conveyancing experience, ideally with a leading or property orientated law firm, preferably in residential conveyancing
- A strong interest and ability in residential sales
- Ability to work autonomously and using own initiative
- Able to analyse and solve problems
- Good IT skills and experience working with case management systems
- Discretion when dealing with confidential information
- Good interpersonal and communications skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and decision making
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- A positive attitude and be a team player
