About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Procurement Surveyor to join our team and play a key role in delivering cost‑effective, commercially sound procurement solutions across our projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, and brings a strong commercial mindset to every decision.
You will support the full procurement lifecycle, from early-stage cost planning and tendering through to contract negotiation and supplier performance management. Your work will directly influence project success, ensuring value for money, compliance, and high‑quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support procurement activities across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with company policies and industry standards.
- Prepare tender documentation, manage tender processes, and evaluate supplier submissions.
- Conduct cost analysis, benchmarking, and value‑engineering exercises to support commercial decision‑making.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and cost forecasts.
- Build and manage strong supplier relationships to ensure performance, quality, and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, and technical teams to ensure procurement strategies meet project requirements.
- Identify risks, opportunities, and cost‑saving initiatives throughout the procurement cycle.
Skills
- The ideal candidate will have least 3 – 5 years within the Construction sector.
- Will have a keen eye for detail.
- Will have the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communicator & excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract law, and commercial principles.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Proficiency in procurement and cost‑management software/tools.
