About The Role
As a Sales Support Associate, you are the operational backbone of the pre-underwriting process. Partnering with an Account Executive (AE), you own a structured three-phase review that takes each deal from offer acceptance through a clean, complete submission to underwriting. You'll work alongside top-ranked originators who move fast and need a partner who can keep up. Your ability to be thorough and to move efficiently is what keeps deals in the pipeline moving forward to facilitate the company’s exponential growth with strong risk management.
Responsibilities
- Loan offer acceptance review. When a loan offer is accepted, you're the first line of review. You pull and analyze credit reports, background reports, entity docs, and third-party data to confirm the deal aligns with guidelines before anything moves forward.
- Pre-underwriting file review.You own the checklist. Once borrower tasks are complete, you verify all supporting documentation, confirm liquidity requirements are met, validate exceptions are approved, and ensure the closing timeline is on track.
- Underwriting submission. You're the final gate. Once all items are verified and the AE has signed off, you clear the file and submit it to underwriting — clean, complete, and on time.
- Account Executive partnership. You work hand-in-hand with Account Executives to help grow the company’s high quality loan pipeline. Your partnership includes flagging issues early, escalating exceptions, and keeping deals from stalling between an accepted loan offer and a deal going into underwriting.
- 2+ years in private lending processing, mortgage operations, or a high-volume, complex borrower loan processing role
- Experience pulling and interpreting credit reports, background reports, entity docs, and title/public records data
- Excel in a high-paced environment. Demonstrate an ability to effectively manage 20–40 loans in parallel
- Fast, clear communicator. You thrive in a fast-paced, detail oriented environment and can effectively collaborate with multiple stakeholders across teams
- Creative problem solver. You can handle adversity and complexity to find solutions that will keep deals moving through the pipeline.
- Detail-oriented — your files are clean, your deal notes are current, and files don’t fall through the cracks
- CRM or LOS experience and fluency
- Real estate investment background is a meaningful advantage
