About the role:
As a Customer Account Executive, you will be responsible for retaining and expanding our commercial customer base and setting the continued groundwork for sales at dbt Labs. This role will be based in Dublin and will also be in office 4 days per week.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Own a portfolio of SMB and mid-market accounts with a dual focus: retention and growth
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities and manage them through the full sales cycle
- Own the full sales cycle from lead to close for our customers
- Serve as the primary point of contact for your customers; understanding their goals and flagging risks early
- Help shape and iterate on the at-scale commercial motion; this is a new function and your input matters
- 2+ years of closing experience in technology sales, with a proven track record of exceeding annual targets
- Comfortable managing a high-volume book of business across SMB and mid-market accounts, with a retention and expansion quota
- Able to understand complex technical concepts and shape them into a consultative sale
- Have a passion for building and maintaining long term partnerships with your customer base
- Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills, you can engage anyone from an individual developer up to a CTO
- Organised and diligent to manage long, multi-threaded sales cycles across multiple stakeholder teams
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- A collaborative teammate who cares about building an inclusive culture, not just hitting your number
- Experience with SQL or willingness to learn
- Based in Dublin and happy to be in the office 3-4 days per week
