About the role
As a Strategic Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing some of IMI’s largest international top tier accounts within a dedicated market segment.
You will become the subject matter expert for your segment and will play a key role in identifying growth opportunities, building strong customer relationships and driving commercial success.
In this role, you will work closely with customers, internal stakeholders and colleagues across countries and regions. You will collaborate with other teams to develop account strategies, strengthen customer partnerships and deliver year-on-year revenue and profitability growth.
In this role, you will:
- Manage and grow existing Platinum accounts, while identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain a strong opportunity pipeline in Salesforce, including leads, quotes, forecasts and customer activities.
- Work closely with business Development and engineering to understand customer needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Translate customer feedback and insights into product development needs and growth opportunities.
- Develop strategic account plans and business cases to create internal alignment and support decision-making.
- Promote IMI’s full product portfolio, including electrical motion, pneumatics and fluid control, to key decision-makers.
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders across multiple countries and regions.
- Monitor customer satisfaction, competitor activity, market trends and sector-specific requirements.
- Support marketing activities such as exhibitions, customer events and website updates.
- Negotiate commercial terms and strategic plans while ensuring profitability and managing risk.
- Present account performance, opportunities and key insights to senior leadership.
What you bring:
- You are a commercially minded relationship builder with a strong focus on customer needs, long-term partnerships and business growth.
- You have experience with managing strategic accounts, identifying new opportunities and translating customer challenges into clear, value-driven solutions.
- You communicate well, influence stakeholders effectively and know how to handle objections and negotiations in a constructive way.
- You bring structure and discipline to the sales process, including opportunity management, pipeline follow-up and CRM accuracy.
- You also understand the importance of market insight, business acumen and customer retention.
- You are self-driven, resilient and comfortable working in an international environment, with good English communication skills. (C1 level required)
- You are also self-driven, resilient, commercially minded and passionate about building long-term customer relationships.
- Experience in our sector/industry would be a big plus.

salary range up to 127k depending on experience and seniority
