Key Account Manager Beauty – Pharmacy Channel

On behalf of a prestigious international company operating in the dermocosmetics and premium beauty sector, recognized worldwide for innovation, product excellence, and strong people values, we are looking for a Key Account Manager Beauty – Pharmacy Channel.
This role will play a strategic part in developing and strengthening the business within the pharmacy and para-pharmacy channel, with a strong focus on the local market and the management of key accounts.
We are looking for a professional who combines strong commercial vision, deep knowledge of the beauty market, and excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to actively contribute to brand growth and market expansion
Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, the Key Account Manager will be responsible for building, developing, and maintaining strong long-term relationships with key clients, particularly pharmacy chains, para-pharmacy groups, and strategic healthcare retail partners.
The role will have direct responsibility for driving commercial growth through structured account management, contributing to the achievement of sales targets, profitability, and strategic business objectives.
Main responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing effective commercial strategies in line with company objectives and the guidelines defined with the Commercial Director
Managing and developing relationships with key clients across the pharmacy and para-pharmacy channel in Belgium
Negotiating commercial agreements, product assortments, promotional plans, and sell-out activities with major partners
Monitoring sales performance, turnover, margins, and commercial KPIs, identifying growth opportunities and corrective actions when needed
Driving new business opportunities and strengthening market presence through strong networking and business development activities
Working cross-functionally with Marketing, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Service teams to ensure excellent commercial execution
Ensuring correct brand positioning and full compliance with company guidelines across all business partners
Analyzing market trends, competitive dynamics, and consumer behavior to support strategic business decisions
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate has solid commercial experience within the beauty, skincare, or dermocosmetics industry, with a strong understanding of the pharmacy and para-pharmacy channel and its specific dynamics. Also candidates with a background on OTC industry will be evaluated.
We are looking for an autonomous, entrepreneurial, and results-driven professional, capable of operating successfully in an international environment and representing the brand with credibility, strategic vision, and strong market awareness
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in Key Account Management, Sales, or Business Development roles within the Beauty sector or in OTC
Strong knowledge of the Pharmacy and Para-pharmacy channel, within the Belgian market
Proven experience managing strategic clients and national pharmacy chains (es. Medi-Market..)
Strong commercial mindset and understanding of premium beauty market dynamics
Experience in commercial negotiations and in building long-term growth plans with key clients
Fluent English is mandatory for this role and essential for daily interaction within the international business environment
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Proactive mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, and the ability to work independently
Flexibility, adaptability, and strong problem-solving skilsl
Availability to travel frequently across the territor
