Indexed description

Our client stands as one of the world’s largest and most reputable global crypto exchange platforms. It boasts a mature international business layout, covering spot, futures, options and a full spectrum of derivative trading lines. With stable global operation scale and top-tier market liquidity, the platform has long maintained leading influence across the crypto financial sector.

My client is looking for a Product Manager – Card to help build and scale our card experience in the U.S. This role is a hands-on builder position responsible for translating business needs into clear product requirements, driving cross-functional execution, and ensuring a high-quality end-to-end customer journey—from onboarding and KYC to card issuance, funding, spending, rewards, and support flows.

You will operate at the intersection of payments, compliance, product engineering, and user experience, working closely with Engineering, Design, Compliance/Legal, Operations, Growth, and Customer Support to deliver a secure, reliable, and compliant card program.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Requirements & Execution

  • Translate Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) into clear, actionable Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) for engineering and design teams.
  • Partner with Engineering to validate technical solutions (TRDs) and ensure they meet business objectives, user needs, and compliance requirements.
  • Drive delivery from discovery to launch: scope definition, milestones, risk management, release planning, and post-launch iteration.

2. End-to-End Card Journey Ownership

  • Own major parts of the card product experience (e.g., onboarding/KYC → issuance → funding → spend → rewards/fees → dispute/chargeback → customer support tooling).
  • Ensure consistent user experience across app surfaces, backend services, and operational workflows.

3. Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with Operations, Marketing/Growth, Compliance/Legal, Finance, and Support to gather requirements and turn them into clear documentation and prioritization.
  • Align internal stakeholders on trade-offs, timelines, and decisions while maintaining a customer-first approach.

4. Quality, Testing & Launch Readiness

  • Provide oversight for system implementation and testing readiness: UAT planning, end-to-end testing scenarios, edge cases, reconciliation flows, and incident readiness.
  • Ensure launches are operationally ready (customer support playbooks, FAQs, escalation paths, compliance review, monitoring).

5. Market, Competitive Insights & Roadmap

  • Conduct market and competitive analysis on card products and U.S. payments trends.
  • Analyze user feedback and product performance, translate insights into roadmap initiatives aligned to OKRs.
  • Write and present BRDs/PRDs for roadmap inclusion and resourcing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Bilingual (English + Mandarin): Fluent written and spoken communication required to work with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
  • 5–7+ years of product management experience in fintech, payments, financial services, or crypto.
  • Strong experience with card products or card-adjacent domains: issuing, processing, authorization/clearing/settlement, disputes/chargebacks, KYC/AML, fraud/risk.
  • Strong product fundamentals: ability to write high-quality PRDs, map user journeys, define acceptance criteria, and drive execution.
  • Solid UI/UX sensibility: can partner effectively with design and make thoughtful trade-offs for conversion, clarity, and trust.
  • Comfortable operating in regulated environments with compliance-first constraints and review processes.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Experience working with Visa/Mastercard issuing programs and/or issuer-processor setups.
  • Experience with U.S. compliance requirements and partner integrations (KYC providers, fraud tools, dispute platforms, ledger/recon).
  • Project/Program Management certification (PMP or equivalent).
  • Experience building card experiences that connect to crypto wallets / exchange funding (e.g., fiat-crypto conversion, spending from balances, security education).
  • Hands-on experience with incident response, monitoring, and operational playbooks in payments systems.
