Artificial Intelligence Engineer

We are partnering with a major global financial institution to build a pioneering, greenfield AI engineering team from the ground up in South Dublin (hybrid 3 days per week on-site) to hire a Senior AI Engineer / Python AI Engineer for an initial 6-18 month contract.

This team is tasked with moving beyond simple chat interfaces to design, build, and deploy the next generation of Agentic AI workflows and autonomous systems. As a foundational engineer, you will focus on initial Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and core architecture, transforming complex financial business problems into highly resilient AI solutions.

What You Will Do

• Design Agentic Systems: Architect multi-agent systems, complex cognitive routing loops, and human-in-the-loop validation layers.
• Build Durable Workflows: Implement resilient, fault-tolerant orchestrations for long-running AI tasks that must survive service interruptions.
• Develop Greenfield Apps: Write clean, production-grade Python code to take experimental AI models from prototype to enterprise-ready solutions.
• Collaborate Directly: Work side-by-side with tech leadership in a high-impact, fast-paced R&D environment.

What We Are Looking For

We recognize that the intersection of Agentic AI and Durable Execution is a highly progressive space. If you don't have the exact tools listed but have built equivalent architectures, we want to hear from you.

• The AI Brain: Deep expertise in Python and LLM frameworks like LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, or AutoGen. Experience building stateful, cyclic, or multi-agent systems is highly valued.
• The Infrastructure Muscle: Strong experience with durable execution engines or complex state orchestration using Temporal, Cadence, Inngest, or AWS Step Functions.
• Core Systems Design: A solid understanding of advanced backend patterns, including Event-Driven Architectures, State Machines, Idempotency, and the Saga Pattern.
• Industry Context: Previous experience navigating high-security, high-throughput environments (FinTech, Banking, or large scale Enterprise SaaS) is a major plus.
