We are seeking a high-calibre Software Developer to join a London-based Operations development team at a global hedge fund. This is a high-autonomy role designed for a developer who thrives in a lean environment. Operating without dedicated project managers, you will hold end-to-end ownership of business-critical systems, interfacing directly with Traders, Treasury, Finance, and Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of projects from requirement definition through to production.
- Design and build robust solutions using C#/.NET or Java.
- Partner directly with business heads to translate complex needs into technical reality.
- Contribute to architectural strategy, maintain high engineering standards, and mentor junior developers.
Technical Requirements
- Expert-level full-stack experience in C#/.NET or Java.
- Advanced SQL proficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver pragmatic, high-impact solutions.
- Excellent communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Kafka or other streaming technologies.
- Experience mentoring junior developers.
