Fire Engineer - Building Compliance

We are strengthening our building compliance team with an experienced Fire Engineer. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects achieve compliance with Building Regulations and fire safety standards while supporting quality assurance throughout design, construction, and project completion stages.

Requirements

• Degree in Fire Engineering, Building Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Strong experience in fire engineering, building compliance, or construction consultancy
• Significant on-site experience with strong understanding of construction methods and fire safety installations
• Excellent technical knowledge of Building Regulations, BCAR requirements, and fire safety legislation
• Experience reviewing fire strategies, technical drawings, and construction documentation
• Strong understanding of passive and active fire protection systems
• Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage compliance processes across multiple projects
• Proactive approach with strong attention to detail and commitment to technical excellence
