The Opportunity
As an Account Manager within our Trauma division, you will be responsible for promoting and selling a portfolio of innovative surgical products used in both elective and acute trauma procedures.

This position is specifically designed for individuals at an early stage in their commercial career. During your initial months, the focus will be on building a strong foundation, including:
- Developing in-depth product knowledge
- Gaining a clear understanding of internal processes and the healthcare landscape
- Establishing credible, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders
- Promote and sell Stryker’s Trauma portfolio, including plates, screws, and nails
- Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, theatre staff, and hospital stakeholders
- Provide in-theatre support and product guidance (approximately 40% of the role)
- Deliver product demonstrations and training sessions
- Manage your territory through structured planning and targeted customer engagement
- Support customer needs by acting as a reliable and knowledgeable partner
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulations
- First 3–6 months dedicated to training and onboarding
- A buddy system with experienced colleagues
- Combination of classroom-based and practical learning
- A formal education pathway (including 101 and 201 courses)
Candidate Profile
We are looking for individuals who demonstrate strong potential and motivation to succeed in a commercial healthcare environment.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience (commercial or customer-facing roles preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A genuine interest in healthcare and the medical devices industry
- Ability to build long-term relationships based on trust and credibility
- High levels of drive, resilience, and willingness to learn
- Flexibility to travel extensively within the territory (approx. 80%)
- Fluency in Dutch and English
Operating Room Exposure
- Approximately 40% of the role is based in the operating room
- Previous exposure is advantageous but not essential
- Full training will be provided to ensure confidence and competence in this environment
- Region: North East Netherlands
- Flexible base location within the territory (e.g. Zwolle, Groningen, Enschede, Apeldoorn)
- Travel requirement: Approximately 80%
