Brightwater have partnered with a rapidly growing insurance brokerage that is seeking to recruit a Commercial Lines Executive in managing the general insurance needs of business clients. This role involves working closely with existing and prospective clients, providing quotations, advising on insurance cover, and delivering a high standard of administrative and customer support.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, customer-focused, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Provide advice and assistance to clients on a range of general insurance products, primarily within the commercial insurance sector.
- Support the Senior Commercial Executive in managing client accounts and servicing commercial insurance policies.
- Assist clients in understanding the terms, conditions, and scope of their insurance coverage in line with regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with underwriters to negotiate terms and place business with insurers.
- Deliver a high level of customer service to both existing and potential clients.
- Gather and analyse client information to assess insurance requirements and risk profiles.
- Research available insurance products and negotiate competitive terms with insurers.
- Monitor policy renewals, amendments, and client requirements to ensure continued appropriate coverage.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with insurance companies, underwriters, claims contacts, and other industry partners..
Skills & Experience
- Minimum APA Commercial qualification required. Ideally CIP qualified
- At least 2 years experience in Commercial Lines insurance.
- Demonstrated compliance with the Central Bank of Ireland’s Minimum Competency Code, with commitment to maintaining required CPD hours annually.
- Experience working with SME and commercial insurance policies.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including confident telephone manner.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and solution-oriented approach to work.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while contributing to business growth.
