A globally recognised fashion brand is looking for an E-commerce Manager / Senior Manager to lead its Brand.com business in Japan.
This is a senior role within the digital and omnichannel team, leading the owned e-commerce site and a small Brand.com team. The platform is already a major part of the business and is now evolving beyond a sales channel into a broader customer, CRM, loyalty, and brand experience platform.
The Japan business is highly connected to regional and global teams, but this is not a role simply executing global strategy locally. They are looking for someone who understands the Japanese market deeply and can help drive a Japan-led digital commerce strategy within an international brand environment.
The brand has a strong heritage in fashion and lifestyle, but continues to stay culturally relevant through collaborations, digital, social, influencer activity, marketplace growth, and direct customer engagement. It offers the mix of a globally recognised name, strong internal talent, and room to keep shaping how the brand connects with customers in Japan.
Responsibilities
• Lead the Brand.com business in Japan
• Manage and develop a small e-commerce team
• Drive customer acquisition, conversion, CRM, loyalty, and retention
• Improve the customer journey across the owned e-commerce platform
• Work closely with marketing, merchandising, retail, operations, and regional teams
• Use data and customer insight to improve performance and customer experience
• Collaborate with APAC and global stakeholders in English while working closely with Japan teams in Japanese
Requirements
• Strong experience in e-commerce, Brand.com, CRM, digital marketing, or digital retail
• Experience in fashion, apparel, beauty, lifestyle, or another brand-led consumer business
• Strong understanding of retail as a business, not only digital execution
• Experience driving customer acquisition, conversion, loyalty, and customer journey optimisation
• Team management experience
• Native Japanese
• Business-level English
• Experience working in an international brand environment
