What Drives Success
The Inside Account Manager is a proactive sales professional responsible for driving revenue growth within an assigned portfolio of Residential accounts or geographic territory. This individual contributor role focuses on nurturing existing relationships, identifying expansion opportunities, and executing strategic sales initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams including Lead Generation, Territory Managers, and Product Specialists. The Inside Account Manager reports directly to the Inside Sales Leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of Residential customer accounts through strategic outreach and relationship-building.
- Qualify, pursue, and close sales opportunities from:
- Inbound customer inquiries
- Proactive outreach to high-potential or dormant accounts
- Sales-qualified leads (SQLs) from Inside Lead Generation
- Develop tailored strategies to re-engage inactive accounts and uncover new revenue streams.
- Partner with overlay product specialists to promote upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Monitor customer market spend and identify accounts for targeted promotional efforts.
- Coordinate with Territory Managers to ensure seamless transition of accounts between Inside and Field Sales coverage.
- Responsible for achieving individual Inside Sales revenue targets.
- Reports to the Inside Sales Leader.
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of inside sales or account management experience.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
- Technical Proficiency:
- CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, C4C)
- Call automation platforms (e.g., Salesloft, Outreach, Groove)
- Familiarity with analytics and quoting tools (e.g., Qlik, SAP, FPX)
- Communication Skills:
- Advanced verbal and written communication
- Strong presentation and negotiation capabilities
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2+ Years Inside Sales or Account Management Experience
- Industry and Product Knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- CRM and Call Automation Tool Experience
