The Role
Nalco Water Paper, an Ecolab company, is looking for an Account Manager to support customers across Sydney and NSW.
Based in Sydney, this role blends relationship‑focused account management, consultative sales, and technical problem‑solving. You’ll partner closely with our paper customers, truly understanding their needs and helping them succeed through tailored programs, innovative technologies, and ongoing support.
This is a role where trust, collaboration, and care matter just as much as results — and where your work contributes to safer operations, more sustainable outcomes, and long‑term partnerships.
How You’ll Make a Difference
- Build and nurture strong, long‑lasting relationships with customers in your portfolio
- Develop thoughtful account plans that support customer success and mutual growth
- Collaborate closely with customers to understand their challenges and create practical, innovative solutions
- Work with stakeholders at all levels, including site and facility leaders, to deliver meaningful outcomes
- Provide hands‑on technical and basic maintenance support by investigating issues, interpreting data, and sharing clear, considered recommendations
- Introduce Nalco Water technologies and innovations in a way that feels supportive, consultative, and value‑driven
- Enjoys connecting with people and building warm, trusted relationships
- Approaches challenges with curiosity, empathy, and problem‑solving mindset
- Is motivated to learn and grow your technical and commercial expertise
- Works confidently both independently and as part of a supportive team
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to Safety, Environment, Occupational Health and Quality
- Communicates clearly, thoughtfully, and respectfully
- A degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Science or Paper Making
- Strong analytical thinking and technical curiosity
- An interest in water treatment, sustainability, or process chemistry
- Previous experience in water treatment and/or consultative or technical sales (advantageous, not essential)
- A valid driver’s license
