A global leader in high-performance automotive components is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to drive growth across the Australian aftermarket channel. This role will focus on managing and expanding relationships with major aftermarket wholesalers, distributors, and independent workshop networks across New South Wales and nationally. Our client is a well-known international manufacturer with a strong reputation for premium engineering, product performance, and innovation within the automotive braking and performance parts sector. Their products are widely recognised across both OEM and aftermarket environments. Your new role
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the Key Account Manager will take ownership of several strategic wholesale and workshop group accounts. You will be responsible for growing revenue, strengthening distribution partnerships, and increasing brand presence throughout the aftermarket.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing relationships with major automotive aftermarket wholesalers and distributor groups
- Developing new business opportunities within independent workshops and workshop networks
- Driving sales growth through account planning, product promotion, and training
- Working closely with distributors to optimise range, stock availability, and promotional activity
- Delivering product education and technical presentations to workshop customers
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and channel performance
- Collaborating with marketing and technical teams to support campaigns and launches
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you will bring a strong understanding of the automotive aftermarket and a proven ability to manage key customer relationships.
Ideal background includes:
- Experience in automotive aftermarket sales
- Existing relationships with aftermarket wholesalers, parts distributors, or workshop networks
- Strong commercial acumen and account management capability
- Ability to engage both technical workshop audiences and commercial buyers
- Self-driven with strong territory management skills
- Willingness to travel as required
