R.L. Evans Company is a family-owned financial services firm that has been serving individuals and businesses in the Puget Sound area for over 55 years.
We are seeking an Employee Benefits Account Manager with experience in working with both small and large employer groups in the ongoing management of their health benefit programs. This individual will play a key role in client retention, renewal strategy, carrier negotiations, and day-to-day account management. The position will require in-office attendance initially but may transition to partially remote.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in employee benefits and client service.
Responsibilities
- Initiate and manage the renewal process for existing clients
- Discuss and develop renewal strategies in coordination with brokers
- Support brokers in developing new business opportunities
- Negotiate rates with carriers and review quotes and coverages for competitiveness and accuracy
- Prepare proposals and presentation materials for client meetings
- Review policies and contracts for accuracy
- Prepare summaries and schedules of coverage for clients
- Assist clients with service requests including claim, eligibility and billing issues
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor degree preferred
- 4+ years of related employee benefits or insurance experience
- Life and health insurance license
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Professional and client-service oriented demeanor
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team environment
