Role Overview
The Content Lead will drive the thinking, storytelling, messaging, and content quality
for a portfolio of enterprise B2B accounts.
This role goes far beyond writing. You will work closely with account, strategy,
design, digital, and leadership teams to shape narratives, build contextual content
solutions, and create work that is sharp, relevant, and strategically grounded.
You will also lead and mentor a team of writers while ensuring content delivery,
responsiveness, and quality standards across the business unit.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Strategy & Solutioning
- Lead messaging, storytelling, and content thinking across accounts and
campaigns
- Translate complex business and technology concepts into clear, engaging
narratives
- Partner with account, design, and digital teams to build integrated solutions
and ideas
- Develop positioning, campaign narratives, executive content, website
messaging, social content, presentations, and thought leadership programs
- Stay deeply informed on client industries, competitors, market trends, and
business priorities
2. Content Quality & Delivery
- Own quality and consistency of all written output across the business unit
- Ensure content is accurate, well-structured, insight-led, and aligned to the
client’s tone and business context
- Minimize rework through strong briefing, planning, and review processes
- Ensure timely delivery across multiple parallel workstreams
- Maintain high editorial standards with zero tolerance for plagiarism, factual
inaccuracies, or careless errors
3. Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of writers across varying experience levels
- Provide regular feedback, reviews, and guidance to improve writing quality
and thinking depth
- Help build a culture of curiosity, ownership, responsiveness, and strong
storytelling
- Support hiring, onboarding, and capability building within the content team
4. Client Collaboration & Business Context
- Participate actively in client conversations, workshops, and strategic
discussions where required
- Bring proactive recommendations, ideas, and opportunities into ongoing
engagements
5. AI, Research & Content Innovation
- Explore and implement AI-assisted workflows that improve research, speed,
and quality without compromising originality or thinking
- Build smarter approaches to content systems, knowledge management, and
reusable frameworks
Desired Skills & Experience
- 6–10 years of experience in content, copywriting, editorial, or strategic
communications roles within an agency, media, or B2B marketing
environment
- Strong understanding of B2B marketing, enterprise audiences, and
technology/business storytelling
- Excellent writing and editing skills across long-form, short-form, digital,
executive, and campaign-led formats
- Ability to simplify complex ideas without losing strategic depth
- Strong understanding of narrative structure, messaging, positioning, and
audience context
- Comfortable collaborating with designers, strategists, digital teams, and
account managers
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities
simultaneously
- Curious, thoughtful, and commercially aware
Must-Haves
- Prior experience working on enterprise or B2B brands
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both strategic thinking and writing craft
- Ability to manage writers and maintain quality across multiple accounts
- Strong research and contextual thinking capability
- Comfort working in a fast-moving agency environment with multiple
stakeholders and deadlines
